Great homes don’t start with materials or machines.  They don’t start with concrete trucks churning and pouring their heavy loads on vacant lots.  They don’t even start with architects and blueprints.  Great homes start with vision – your vision.  They start with drive-by admiration, years worth of scribbled notes, and bookmarked pages that come together to form a foundation you’ve laid yourself.  Even if it came easy, it has taken time & thought because you want it to be just right.  You have waited until now so that you can get it just the way you want it.  After all, it will be your legacy.

Our approach is simple: We don’t want to simply supply you with a plan, we want to know “What’s your plan?”  We want to be your partners in creating your dream home.

WE TAKE IT PERSONALLY.

At Urban Growth we believe that meticulous supervision is the only manner in which to build a truly custom home.  We believe so strongly in this that a “hands-on” approach for all projects that it has become our building philosophy.  While most builders delegate critical work to design teams and foremen, we (the owners) are present at the home sites daily in order to work with our tradesmen and ensure quality control.  This superior level of attention is simply one advantage of building with Urban Growth.

In order to best maintain schedule, quality and value we self-perform the finish carpentry, tile/stone work, painting, drywall and cabinets.  Additionally, we have an outstanding team of employees, craftsman,  designers, suppliers and sub-contractors who have worked together for many years.  Under the leadership of John Falcione, this team has an established tradition and reputation.

Because John has been building in the Phoenix area for more than 23 years, he has the advantage of being able to navigate the various county and city approval processes, which can help deliver projects on time and on budget.

In order to ensure the highest level of quality and meet the needs and demands involved in this “hands-on” approach to building, we limits jobs in progress to three on average, based on location, size and scope of work.

The Steps We Take

01 / SITE SELECTION

We analyze the home site as inspiration, incorporating the views, topography and other environmental cues into the design. That makes choosing where to build an important first step in building your home. We work with a team of licensed real estate agents who know the Valley, so we can help you find the perfect location.

 

02 / ARCHITECTURE

The architecture stage is a highly personalized process. We work with the architect to understand your family and lifestyle as well as your individual needs for a home. Then, they translate your vision into a design concept. Beginning with hand sketches and moving into 3D modeling to help communicate the look and feel, we know that visuals are essential for ensuring that we’re on the right track with our plans.

 

03 / INTERIOR DESIGN

While you’re working with your architects, you’ll also work with our talented design team. These experts use the look and feel of the exterior of the home to inspire the interior. Cultivating an aesthetic that is based on your needs and wants, this team selects fine finishes that make your home feel like … home.

 

04 / BUDGETING/PLANNING

We believe it’s important to discuss budget early — and often — in the homebuilding process. With your budget in mind, Urban Growth's design teams will help you prioritize your desires for your home. Plus, they’ll work closely with our construction team to ensure that we’re using real numbers to create an accurate cost projection. With our in-house estimating and planning, our clients are confident that they’ll get the home they want within their budget.

 

05 / CONSTRUCTION

Our clients find comfort in having Urban Growth's owner and Director of Operations on site each day.  This ensures that any issues or questions that arise can be resolved immediately and seamlessly. Plus, our construction team maintains great relationships with vendors and contractors to deliver a high quality final product. And best of all for our clients, they can rest easy knowing that we’re managing this entire process.
